Injury Report
- Dylan DoddIRExpected return: May 8
Dodd has been on the 15-day injured list since April 23 while recovering from left thoracic spine inflammation, but southpaw now appears to be nearing a return to action. Dodd has made two appearances with Atlanta this season, giving up one run on three hits and a walk while striking out four batters over four innings.
- Joey WentzIRExpected return: Feb 1
The transaction clears a 40-man roster spot for waiver claim Osvaldo Bido. Wentz will miss the entire 2026 campaign following ACL surgery earlier this month.
- Raisel IglesiasIRExpected return: May 5
Iglesias has been sidelined since being placed on the 15-day IL on April 21 with right shoulder inflammation, but manager Walt Weiss said following Sunday's 11-6 win over the Rockies that he expects the closer to join Atlanta's major-league squad on the road Tuesday in Seattle. The right-hander appears to be set to return to action after the minimum 15 days on the injured list while also not having to go on a minor-league rehab assignment. Iglesias will likely immediately push Robert Suarez back into a set-up role upon his activation.
- Ronald Acuna Jr.IRExpected return: May 13
The 28-year-old outfielder was placed on the injured list earlier Sunday after sustaining the injury during Saturday's 9-1 win over the Rockies, but he appears to have avoided a more serious setback than Atlanta had feared. Acuna is without an official timeline for his return, but the encouraging diagnosis could mean that his absence isn't a lengthy one.
- Spencer StriderIRExpected return: May 3
Strider's left oblique checked out fine following his third and final minor-league rehab start last Sunday with Triple-A Gwinnett, setting the stage for the right-hander to make his 2026 debut with the big club. The 27-year-old gets a less-than-ideal landing spot for his first start with Atlanta in hitter-friendly Colorado, but he should be in line for relatively standard workload. He upped his pitch count to 82 and covered five innings in his final rehab outing.
- Michael Harris IIDay-to-dayExpected return: May 5
Harris appears to have moved past the tight left quadriceps tightness that kept him on the bench Thursday and Friday, but Atlanta will rest him for Sunday's day game while Colorado sends southpaw Kyle Freeland to the bump. Mauricio Dubon will draw the start in center field in place of Harris.
- Adam MazurIRExpected return: Apr 1
The move frees a spot on the 40-man roster. Mazur will miss the entirety of the 2026 season after undergoing UCL reconstruction surgery with an internal brace on his right elbow earlier this month.
- Griffin ConineIRExpected return: Jun 1
Conine suffered a left hamstring strain during Thursday's game against Cincinnati and has now decided to go under the knife to treat the problem. He's expected to miss 6-8 weeks following the procedure, setting him up for a return to Miami's lineup in late May or early June.
- Pete FairbanksIRExpected return: May 13
The right-hander was sidelined for about three weeks in 2024 when the issue first surfaced, but Fairbanks went on to have a strong season for Tampa Bay once he returned, converting 23 of 27 save chances with a 3.57 ERA and 1.17 WHIP over 45.1 innings. For however long Fairbanks is unavailable this time around, the Marlins will likely take a committee approach to the ninth inning, with Anthony Bender, Tyler Phillips, Andrew Nardi and Calvin Faucher all options to close out games depending on matchups.
- Ronny HenriquezIRExpected return: Feb 1
The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for Chris Paddack, whose signing was officially announced Thursday. Henriquez underwent a UCL reconstruction surgery with an internal brace procedure on his right elbow in December and will be sidelined for the duration of the 2026 season.
- Owen CaissieDay-to-dayExpected return: May 4
Caissie is on the bench for the second day in a row, after an illness caused him to be scratched from the lineup prior to Saturday's 4-0 win. The Phillies are sending left-hander Jesus Luzardo to the hill Sunday, so Caissie's continued absence from the starting nine might have more to do with the matchup than him being limited by the illness.
