Baddoo suffered a quadriceps strain in mid-March that was more significant than initially expected, and it will sideline him for at least the first two months of the regular season. Even once healthy, the 27-year-old won't be guaranteed to be added to the big-league roster.

Vaughn is nearing the finish line in his recovery from the left hand fracture that has kept him on the shelf since March 28. He's already appeared in three rehab games for Triple-A Nashville, playing a full nine innings on one occasion while going a collective 2-for-11 with a double and a walk. Jake Bauers has been serving as the Brewers' everyday first baseman while Vaughn has been on the IL, but Milwaukee could open up steady playing time for both players by using Bauers at designated hitter or in the corner outfield once Vaughn is activated.

It's unclear when his forearm began bothering him, but Zerpa last pitched Saturday and had been scored upon in each of his last three appearances. Brian Fitzpatrick will take Zerpa's spot on the roster and in the bullpen.

Woodruff averaged just 85 mph on his fastball during his start Thursday and was pulled after throwing just 21 pitches over 1.1 innings. He said after the game that he didn't feel any pain while on the mound but is instead dealing with a case of dead arm. There's a real chance that the 33-year-old ends up spending time on the injured list, though the Brewers will hold off on making a decision for now while they run additional tests on him. Logan Henderson is a likely candidate to join the big club and start in Woodruff's place.

Yelich landed on the shelf April 14 with a left groin strain and was given an initial recovery timeline of 4-to-6 weeks, and he has apparently progressed as expected thus far. Gary Sanchez has operated as Milwaukee's primary designated hitter with Yelich on the shelf, but Tyler Black has also picked up a couple starts since getting promoted from Triple-A Nashville on Friday.

Chourio's removal from the contest was labeled a precautionary move, but the Brewers wanted to make sure and sent him for X-rays. The 22-year-old was expected to finish up his rehab assignment this weekend and rejoin the big club in St. Louis this week, but that plan will now depend on how well his foot feels over the next couple days.

Koenig has been shelved for three-plus weeks with a sprained left elbow. Given the nature of the injury, the southpaw reliever will be brought along slowly. The Brewers do not expect Koenig to be ready to return until late May or early June.

The 34-year-old lefty sustained the injury during his rehab assignment over the weekend while working his way back from a shoulder strain. Zastryzny will be sidelined for at least a couple more weeks as he contends with the new injury.

A bases-loaded single in the second inning brought home two runs, and Turang added two more RBI with a single in the seven and a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The second baseman had a breakout 2025, but he may not have found his ceiling yet -- through 20 games to begin the current campaign he's slashing .307/.430/.560 with 10 extra-base hits including four homers, plus six steals, 18 RBI and 19 runs.

Misiorowski was forced to leave in the sixth inning of Friday's start against the Nationals due to right hamstring cramping, but he still came away with his second win of the season after yielding zero hits or runs while issuing two walks and striking out eight batters. The Brewers will monitor Misiorowski's injury closely over the coming days, but for now, he is slated to start Wednesday on the road against the Cardinals.

Since giving up three earned runs in his season debut, Laweryson has allowed just one hit and zero walks while striking out six batters over five innings and recording the first save of his MLB career. Laweryson is one of five Twins relievers with a save this season, so there is still plenty of competition for high-leverage work in Minnesota's bullpen even with the 27-year-old temporarily out of the picture.

Sands gave up two earned runs in just two-thirds of an inning during his last appearance Tuesday, and he'll now have to wait at least a couple of weeks to redeem himself after coming away from his outing with a forearm injury. John Klein will come up from Triple-A St. Paul to take Sands' place in Minnesota's bullpen.

Acton made his last appearance April 25 when he allowed an earned run on two hits and struck out two in an inning of work against the Rays. In corresponding moves, the Twins selected the contract of Luis Garcia and designating Zak Kent for assignment to make room.

Abel is eligible for activation from the 15-day injured list Saturday, and while he is not expected to be ready to go by that date, his absence will not extend much longer if he continues to progress at his current pace. The right-hander has missed the last couple weeks of action with right elbow inflammation. Abel's spot in the rotation is currently being filled by Connor Prielipp, who will start Monday's game versus the Mariners.

Adams has been sidelined all season with a triceps issue that first popped up in early March. Given the long layoff, he's sure to require multiple rehab starts before the Twins decide to add him to the big-league roster or keep him in the minors.

Ryan threw just nine pitches -- recording one out and issuing a walk -- before departing Sunday's contest with the injury. His final offering was a 90.9-mph fastball, which is down a touch from his typical velocity. Ryan will likely undergo medical imaging, at which point there should be a better idea of his availability for his next turn through the rotation and beyond.

Staumont signed a minor-league deal with the Reds last offseason but wound up missing the entire season with an undisclosed injury. It's unclear what his current health status is. Staumont posted a 3.70 ERA but an ugly 18:14 K:BB over 24.1 innings for the Twins in 2024.
