Wednesday was the first time Backhus played catch since going on the injured list April 30 due to left elbow inflammation. The southpaw will continue his throwing program, barring any setbacks, and he could be an option for the Phillies at some point in late May or early June. Through 9.2 innings before getting hurt, Backhus posted a 4.66 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB.

Lazar has been out all season with a left oblique strain he suffered during the World Baseball Classic while playing for Team Israel. He is on the 60-day injured list and not eligible to return until late May, so Lazar will make several rehab appearances before the Phillies consider adding him back to their active roster.

Pop has been sidelined by a strained right calf since mid-April, but he's gearing up for his return to the Phillies. The right-hander will presumably need a handful of rehab outing before Philadelphia considers reinstating him from the injured list. Over 7.1 innings on the year, Pop has a 3.68 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 6:3 K:BB while working mostly in middle relief.

Turner has been in a season-long slump and is slashing only .182/.178/.227 with a 0:10 BB:K so far in May. He'll get a day to recharge the batteries while Edmundo Sosa grabs a start at shortstop.

Casparius has been on the IL since April 13 due to right shoulder inflammation. While he's doing some throwing, there's no word on when the right-hander may begin a rehab assignment, so he's unlikely to return to the Dodgers' bullpen in the immediate future. Casparius allowed five earned runs over 4.1 innings spanning five relief appearances this season before being shelved.

Snell was scratched from Friday's start against the Angels, and it's clear now why that was the case. If he needs to undergo surgery like he did in 2019 with the same issue, then he's looking at about two months on the shelf, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Southpaw Charlie Barnes was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.

Stewart landed on the 15-day IL earlier in the day due to a left foot bone spur, which corresponded with Blake Snell being activated from the IL. Given the timeline, Stewart will be on the shelf until at least late May, though it's unclear whether he'll need to go on a rehab assignment before rejoining the Dodgers.

Stone was diagnosed with inflammation in his surgically repaired right shoulder during spring training and was shut down from throwing for several weeks. Tests confirmed that there's no structural damage in the shoulder, and the right-hander has since been cleared to begin a throwing program. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday -- the same day Stone was moved to the 60-day IL -- that the hurler is essentially going to need to ramp up as if he's restarting spring.

Knack has been on the injured list since the start of the season due to an intercostal strain, and his move to the 60-day IL will ensure he remains on the IL until at least late May. His 40-man spot will be given to Tyler Fitzgerald, who was acquired in a trade with Toronto on Tuesday.

The good news for Dodgers fans (and Glasnow's fantasy managers) is that the hurler has been playing catch the last few days. However, Roberts indicated Thursday that the team plans to have Glasnow take his time in his recovery, and it's unclear when the right-hander will throw off a mound again. He's eligible to come off the injured list May 22, but Roberts' comments indicate that Glasnow won't be activated immediately. However, Roberts didn't share when the team expects Glasnow to be inserted back into the rotation.
